Brothers from Oasis Lodge #52 and abroad, greetings! You could win one of three fantastic prizes while supporting our lodge in the effort to support its charities, most especially the Arizona Masonic Foundation for Children (AMFC). The foundation is entering its 26th year of intervening in the lives of at risk kids. This is accomplished by providing a Children at Risk Workshop for Arizona educators, to which the Arizona Department of Education has granted CTE Certification For 21 Professional Development Hours and which is provided at no cost to them. Their workshop trains core teams of educators within a school on how to identify and intervene early and effectively with students that display patterns of behaviors that threaten their success and the success of others. The workshop teaches educators the vital skills to improve their ability to: identify, intervene with and create appropriate intervention plans for students that may be at risk. It addresses chemical dependency, depression, suicide, conflict, anger, violence, communication skills, family dynamics, enabling, life skills development, treatment aftercare and group process. It brings teachers, counselors, nurses, principals, superintendents and even bus drivers together in the name of prevention, safer schools and community.
We desperately need to recognize and acknowledge how devastating 2020 and 2021 have been to our children of Arizona. The training provided by the Masonic Model Student Assistance Program, or Children at Risk Program, provided by the AMFC refers to schools as islands of safety for our at risk children. Questions: 1) During this time of severe quarantines, what happened to those at risk children when the island was not available to them? What happened when the consistent policies and procedures they rely on were taken away? What happened when the teams of dedicated educators we have trained the past 25+ years were not physically available to intervene in their lives? 2) How many pre-pandemic non-at risk children have we converted to the at risk categories by the loss of their safe and supportive schools, and by the changing of their other island of safety (their safe and supportive homes) into places of isolation and development regression, filled with struggle and uncertainty caused by the lock downs and just now being realized by our society?
A child at risk will remain at risk until someone intervenes. The Masonic Student Assistance Program stands ready to meet this challenge. Oasis Lodge #52 stands ready to meet this challenge. Please help us by supporting this endeavor and you'll have a chance to win:

What is Freemasonry?
In short, Freemasonry is the oldest and largest world wide fraternity dedicated to the Brotherhood of
Man under the Fatherhood of a Supreme Being. Although of a religious nature, Freemasonry is not a religion.
It urges its members, however, to be faithful and devoted to their own religious beliefs.
As a fraternity, Freemasonry provides an opportunity for men to meet and enjoy friendly companionship.
In the spirit of helpfulness and brotherly love and guided by strict moral principles it encourages
goodwill toward all mankind. Freemasonry is of a personal nature in its private ceremonies. Its ritual
dramatizes a philosophy of life based on morality. It promotes self improvement. The tools of operative
masons are used to symbolize and teach the basic principles of brotherly love, charity, and truth which
Masons are encouraged to practice in their daily lives. Charity is a tangible way in which Masons help
those whose circumstances in life fairly warrant it.
